Debacle of the Conference Room

Unfortunately, I am unable to give a lot of details, but I am wondering what is so special about conference rooms. I was recently advised that because of cutbacks and the economy our office will be relocating to reduce our overhead. We use a conference room on a regular basis and have become spoiled having access to two conference rooms at our current location. I was informed on Friday, we may not have access to a conference room at our new location. It appears that the other company refuses to share their conference room because of some kind of Federal regulation. So, WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL ABOUT A CONFERENCE ROOM, it is four square walls with a table and chairs around the table. What is there to regulate? It makes no sense to me.
